June has been a busy month both at local and international level for Unigen Seeds Spain.
At the beginning of the month, our CEO Francesco Pacini attended the World Seed Congress organized by the IFS in South Africa. One more year, we joined the most important international event in our industry together with other managers of UG group managers. Our delegates were led by Norito Ebata, CEO of United Genetics LLC.
After South Africa, Isidro Lopez (Area Manager for Almeria, Granada & Morocco) and Juan Manuel Requena (Tomato Breeder) visited UG Italy tomato trials in Fondi, Rome. They could evaluate the spring varieties and short cycle hybrids in Cherry, Miniplum, San Marzano, Oxheart, Saladette and Beef types.
In Lleida, Catalonia we have everything ready for our Summer Field Days. First international visitors have been Kazuyuki Yamaguchi (Finance & Account Manager of United Genetics Seeds Co.) and Takehiko Inoue (Planning Management International Division of Kagome Co., Ltd.).
We continue evaluating our varieties according to their yielding potential, hardness, setting ability and Brix among other features.
